Love Me If You Dare

Amazing move, simply amazing. If you have a moment or two you should definitely watch this gem. French film, the leading lady also starred in Burton's Big Fish as the pregnant wife of Edward Bloom's son. I love this film!

So stressed!

I cannot begin to articulate how stressed I've been over the past few weeks... but grades closed yesterday and I have a blank slate! Finally!

And Nikki will be here tonight and I will be spending a marvelous week with him. This Wednesday he and I are going to the rally in Concord for the public hearings on the Gay Marriage Bill... I'm a little nervous, but in the end it will be worthwhile.

If I have to go to Church tomorrow I'm bringing my Baldwin book.. ugh. If my priest even tries bringing up the rally and going to protest I don't know what I will do... =/

I made this on wordle! (It was a sick link, my librarian buddies!)

tattoo ideas

So, I am going to be eighteen this September...

Lo and behold I am planning on getting tattoos! I am definitely getting the word "euphoria" on my wrist in some beautiful lilting script la de da my favorite word since I turned 11. I am on the fence about using black or this cool pinky, silvery color I saw on a picture that makes me think of gel pens
i.e. ------>
And the OTHER tattoo that I might get would be from an... tra le la, drumrolls, please! An e e cummings poem! I know that's terribly unoriginal but eh, I love him to death. Anyone familiar with "maggie and millie and molly and may"? Well this is where I got the idea:

But instead of on my arm, it would be on my left shoulder blade AND it would look, a lot different? There would be a top section but instead of the compass rose I would have a starfish with different sized peonies open and closed coming around to almost make the frame for the text... "for whatever we lose (like a your or a me)/ its always ourselves we find in the sea" And the words would be in two lines in probably a typewriteresque font with little PEARLS around it and a ribbon...

My friend is going to help me draw out my idea, I'm so excited! And I am debating about that little bird, I love litter birds but I was thinking about making it a little sand dollar or a jellyfish.. eh.. and still not a hundred percent on the coloring and shading...

Here is the full poem, I love you <3>

maggie and millie and molly and may
went down to the beach (to play one day)

and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldn't remember her troubles, and

millie befriended a stranded star
who's rays five languid fingers were;

and molly was chased by a horrible thing
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and

may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as a world and as large as alone.

for whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea.

Internet Squabbles.

Facebook rudeness!

I'm sick of signing on face book and dealing with these ridiculous fights and discussions that three quarters of the involved would NEVER DREAM of having in real life face to face.

And all of them concerning things like religion or literary criticism to a poem posted by a fifteen year old for anyone who wanted to see it! I mean he tagged me along with almost thirty other people... I wasn't going to just say, "Amazing" in awe of its brilliance when I thought he could maybe tweak something here or there to make it better

I never doubt people's talents and would only expect the same honest answers from them, I think overall no one has ill intentions and by the monotone text you find online and in text messages, personal exchanges become misconstrued and seem to turn into these ridiculous almost turf wars.

Lesson learned: I will offer advice when asked or tag and will now send them in a private face book message in the most personal and sweet way so I do not face the firing squad.

ps. I LOVE YOU JON! And I think you're adorable and I love how passionate you are about your writing and I love watching you grow in it how it changes. My writing has never been perfect either and I'm not saying I'm better than you. I cannot write poetry to save my life, your ballsy for even attempting and your poems themselves are not terrible at all..

GSA

So I am going to try and start a Gay Straight Alliance at my high school within the next week. My history teacher offered to advise it. I want to create a space for students to come and feel welcomed to raise awareness for rights and feel supported. It would sort of be set up like a support group but I am going to check out other schools clubs first

I am just scared my principal, superintendent, or school board might try and shoot me down. I think it will be received well by the surprisingly tolerant and widely gay student body at my school. I think I would call it GSA but then let them know we would be open obviously to the LGBT community

We could create ways for people to forward our casue... write more later!

Hmm..

I did not even get to pose as the slit faced woman but took boatloads of other shots which can be viewed on my darling's deviant art account: ditzyodango

It was a good time nevertheless, and we will be doing it again in the near future. And that time I will become the slit faced woman, CREEPY! I also want to throw a few ideas by her of representing a few scenes from some books and even maybe some poetry becuase I would love too.

Currently reading Hamlet, Lord of the Flies(again), and a book of W.H. Auden's selected poems.

Photoshoot with Darling

So today I'm going to be in a photo shoot with my Darling Dani-yellikins... woo-hoo. It will be glamorous and super scary when she does her FX makeup of this horror star, The Slit Faced woman! She is from asian horror, and I am ineffably excited.
